This is a great discovery for the world, and why a few South Africans should feel slighted in any way is incomprehensible. Lack of education, misinterpretation of the facts, lack of willingness to accept that discoveries change previously held theories every day, overt sensitivity to any perceived racial slur, the desire for many people in powerful positions to hang onto the idea of apartheid as being the source of the country’s ills over 20 years later, and the proverbial chip on the shoulder put these naysayers into the category reserved for members of the flat earth society and those who might still believe the sun revolves around the earth… Thankfully the majority of people and South Africans are not like minded nor are they narrow minded.
